Alkhadher Sulaiman, Executive Director of the Yafa American Community Center (YACC), held a candid and constructive sit-down with Dr. Abdulnasser Alwaly, former Minister of Civil Service, to exchange views on current political developments and the evolving landscape surrounding Yemen, and particularly, the South.

The discussion reflected a diversity of perspectives, with Dr. Alwaly maintaining a measured distance from the ongoing dialogue process and expressing a number of critical observations regarding its current trajectory. His position underscored broader concerns shared by segments of the public regarding direction, structure, and trust.

Despite these differences, both sides engaged in a constructive and respectful exchange, agreeing that support and engagement from the United States remain crucial in raising both the credibility and the potential success rate of any political process—particularly in light of recent tensions and perceptions that position regional actors, including Saudi Arabia, as parties to the process.

The meeting highlighted the importance of open dialogue, the value of critical perspectives, and the need for broader international balance to help restore confidence and ensure any future pathway reflects the will and expectations of the people.
